In 2012, in an abandoned monastery at a height of 4200 metres, a large Buddhist festival took place. This only happens every twelve years. Thousands of Upper Dolpo people came. This gave a unique opportunity to experience the local culture. Austrian TV was there to make a documentary and we were able to meet them. The whole thing was very impressive and afterwards the makers of the documentary travelled to the nearby holy mountain to complete their film.
